Create an Apple Account
The store owner or software purchaser should register using a personal email address they will retain long term. The example below uses Apple's official registration webpage. There is no need to have someone else register for you or to pay for an account.
- Where to Do This
- Safari on iPad
- Completion Sign
- The Apple page confirms that account creation is complete
Open the Apple Account Website
Open the Apple Account website below in Safari on the iPad and find "Create Your Apple Account." Confirm that the address is account.apple.com before entering your information.
Open the Apple Account Website
The magnified circle in the image is part of Apple's original image. On a narrow iPad screen, this entry may be inside the page menu; expand the menu first and look for the same text. Do not tap "Sign In" in the middle to create a new account.

Enter your name, date of birth, actual country or region, regular email address, and a new password, followed by a phone number you can use long-term. A +86 phone number may be required when creating an account in mainland China. Follow the page prompts and do not enter someone else's information.
Keep the Email Address, but Do Not Send the Password to the Company
The registration email is also used for sign-in and recovery. Use a long-term email you control, not a temporary one. Store the password securely yourself; the company records only the agreed recipient email and never collects passwords or codes.
If the email address is incorrect, return to the previous page and correct it. Do not continue with an address that cannot receive messages. If you already have an account, return to the sign-in guide instead of creating another one.
Complete Email and Phone Verification
Open the inbox for the email address you just entered and find the Apple verification email. Return to the sign-up page and enter the verification code from the email, then follow the prompts to complete phone verification. Enter verification codes only on the Apple page; do not forward them to the coordinator.
Confirm That the Apple Account Was Created Successfully, Then Sign In on the iPad
After the page confirms completion, keep the account and password secure. Successful registration does not mean that the iPad is signed in; continue with the sign-in guide below. If Apple later asks for additional account information, provide accurate information.
Account Creation Is Stuck
Email already used may mean an account exists. Do not recreate it. Check spelling, spam, and phone number for missing codes, and record the full message.
